GIA: Innovation @ Home • Communications Planning/Support, Publication Development
SCP frequently collaborates with Grantmakers In Aging (GIA), a long-time client, to create new learning opportunities and resources for GIA’s all-funder membership. Innovation@Home was a multi-faceted initiative supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that identified successful models and policies around the world that support aging in community.
Our Role
SCP worked with GIA, the WHO Global Network for Age-Friendly Cities and Communities, and the International Federation on Ageing, to build an expert steering committee, recruit judges, and run a contest seeking successful programs. SCP also wrote the accompanying digital publication Innovation@Home: Approaches to Successful Aging in Community from 25 Countries: An Introduction for Funders.
Impact
After receiving contest entries from over 15 countries, and thousands of downloads on the digital publication, Innovation@Home solidified GIA and its CEO’s thought leadership around issues of housing and older adults not only in the United States but abroad.
