Reframing Aging • Website and Video Development
In 2019, the Gerontological Society of America launched the Reframing Aging Initiative, a multi-year project to change the way we talk and think about aging and transform the broader (and too often negative) narrative about older adults.
Our Role
Since the initiative’s inception, SCP has worked closely with Reframing Aging staff to launch a website, produce a series of animated videos, provide social media support, and conduct media outreach to amplify their important work.
Impact
These efforts have helped the Reframing Aging initiative expand the conversation around addressing ageism, encourage the implementation of “age-friendly” style guides by a variety of media and journals, and promote widespread adoption of the Reframing Aging framework by national and local institutions in the field.
