As more of us live longer and better lives, our nation is presented by tremendous opportunities to ensure that we can continue to make important and needed contributions to our families, communities, and country. Today, policies, programs and negative stereotypes around aging prevent too many of us from staying full involved. Looking ahead, we must tap old-fashioned American ingenuity to break down these barriers. We must find creative, collective approaches–from workplaces for all ages and intergenerational service centers to age-friendly communities–that ensure that our nation is a great place to grow up and grow old.
